It was in 1977, during their phenomenally successful world tour, that ABBA for the first (and only) time performed their mini-musical ‘The Girl With The Golden Hair’. Written by Benny and Bjorn, it was the duo’s first step into the world of musical theatre. In retrospect the musical can be seen as a mirror of what was to happen to the group in the future, particularly Agnetha, whose experience of being ‘The Girl With The Golden Hair’ was truly bitter sweet.
30 years on, Iambic Productions presents the first ever complete recording and performance of the musical in the UK, starring Atomic Kitten’s Liz McClarnon and creator of The Rocky Horror Show Richard O’Brien.
