En 1974, “Waterloo” fut non seulement la chanson gagnante du concours Eurovision, mais surtout le point de départ de la carrière internationale du groupe Abba.
Mais, si l’Eurovision a offert une exposition médiatique extraordinaire aux quatre Suédois et lancé leur carrière, il est clair que le groupe donna également un coup de jeune à ce concours qui avait fini par tourner en rond.
Pour Abba, “Waterloo” fut plus qu’une victoire, ce fut le début d’une longue série de tubes qui font, aujourd’hui encore, danser la planète !
