Things haven’t gone according to plan for Michael and his wife Alexandra since their fairy-tale wedding almost three years ago. The same could be said for Michael’s brother Jake and his partner Tim.

Jake’s work at a local cinema introduces him to some interesting characters – one of whom is a bit of a chancer who causes mayhem wherever he goes. Tim, meanwhile, steps into another world when the couple’s pet dog leads him into uncharted territory and he meets the eccentric owner of a chocolate empire and his unconventional house guests.

All the locals are excited by a new café on Lewes High Street, run by a very efficient German. Although, even she is surprised at some of the characters she meets there.
