Sweden’s true rock photographer is without a doubt Torbjörn Calvero. His photographs were never over-arranged but rather reflect private encounters with the person on the other side of the lens. They convey proximity with the artists he photographed originating from Calvero’s curiosity about them and, thus, creating a personal atmosphere that came across strikingly in his portraits. There is no shallowness, just personal intimacy. This concert photos carry same trademark of a photographer being on stage and at the centre of things rather than just in front of it.
This is an ABBA The Museum Fine Art Collection of 15 of his most iconic pictures of ABBA.
